Matron of Honor: Bowdre Clayton
I met Bowdre upon my move to Texas. We both had essentially “started over” by moving to Texas and knowing no one. Bowdre welcomed me to my job at SGCS and into her life with open arms and an invitation to have queso and margs…. And the rest is history. We were instant friends in every sense of the phrase. Her joy for life and ability to love people makes her one of the most amazing friends! Our adventures have been endless, and we have experienced so much life together. One of my greatest joys is being bestie to her and Jordan and auntie to sweet Ford man. I am so blessed to have this bestie of mine stand beside me on this special day!
Matron of Honor: Ella Marie Morrison
I met Ella at St Gabriel’s Catholic School where she, Bowdre, and I all worked together. Ella and I’s friendship took some time to develop but once we decided it was a go, Texas didn’t know what hit it. My girl showed me everything that beautiful Texas has to offer: Texas country, Texas food, floating the river, Texas sized family get togethers, and a friendship the size of Texas. Ella is a blessing to all who know her and I am so thankful to call her a soul sister. Ella and her BAM’s (Bryce, Bear, and Basher) are such a sweet part of our life.
Bridesmaid: Angela Cortwright
Angie is my Hoosier sister. We met in college and I was so fortunate to have her as a roommate! Angie’s heart is so beautiful and I have been blessed to be a true recipient of that beauty. She was a wonderful supporter of me through my volleyball days, and I could always count on her for kitchen talks when I needed them the most. Our adventures continued from Bloomington to New York when she took that city by storm. Our moments experienced together are precious and I am so very thankful for each of them!
Bridesmaid: Dana Meador
Dana is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Her light shines so brightly and her love for God permeates in everything that she does. Dana and I met in Texas when we were both navigating life and dreaming of what our futures would hold. Dana is always down for an adventure, and we have had our fair share of them! I am so thankful for her presence in my life. Dana and I prayed for each other that we would find spouses, and God has certainly blessed us with Daniel and Robert. Dana and Daniel are busy building their family from one to two beautiful babies, so she is not able to join us today but we know she is here in spirit!
Bridesmaid: Mary Mullins
Mary, my “right side sister”, and I have a truly unique bond in that we are both best friends AND teammates. We were blessed with getting to spend 3 years of our lives pursuing the same goal day in and day out with blood, sweat, and tears to go along with it. Mary radiates joy and love, and you know this as soon as you meet her. We have been through a lot of life together, and I can always count on Mary to point my eyes to the Lord. Mary and Ross have built a beautiful family together and I am so thankful for their presence in our lives!
Petal Princess: Hazel Kay Lannan
Hazel is the daughter of Taylor’s cousin Chelsea and Sam Lannan. Hazel Kay is the sweetest most joy filled 5 year old you will ever meet. Her hugs are big, and she loves her people even bigger. She loves to dance and sing, horses, traveling, the beach, crafting, and her grandma Donna! We are thrilled to have Hazel as a part of our family and our special day!
Groomsman: Scott Harding
Scott and I met when I took a job at Alleman High School in Rock Island, IL. He went out of his way from our first conversation to look out for me and that has continued to this day. During my two years there, I spent so much time at his house that most thought I was a part of the family. A coach’s coach who has won wherever he has been, he taught me so much about coaching the individual. There is not a big decision in my life that I don’t involve him in. His family consists of his wife, Shannon, and their two sons, Brody and Brock.
Groomsman: Barkley Falkner
Barkley and I lived together in Cleveland, Mississippi for a few years when we both worked at Delta State. Basketball, common beliefs, and values led to us forming a bond that allowed me to be a part of his special day as well. From trips to Wyoming to Oxford, MS nights, we found a way to experience life. Now, his life revolves around Ole Miss, farming, and his family. Barkley and his wife Margaret have a beautiful family with soon to be three children (Hatleigh, Tripp, and one on the way). Taylor and his mom, Ms. Donna, are truly the same person. Maybe that’s why I like Taylor so much :)
Groomsman: Frank Young
Frank and I first met when I became a part of the staff at Presbyterian College 6 years ago. We have lived together, worked together, and spent time away from the office together. Frank is the most competitive, humble individual you will ever meet that is full of wisdom. His hobbies include cooking and grilling (gourmet esque) and watching European basketball. Sweets are his vice. A great player in his own right, he has transitioned into a wonderful husband to Kierra.
Groomsman: Bradley Fey
Bradley and I first met when he became a part of the staff at Presbyterian College 6 years ago. Since moving to App State, we have spent almost every day together by living together, working together, or just hanging out. Hailing from the great state of Indiana, his pride in all things Indiana is unmatched. Almost as much as his golf game. Most cannot believe we lived together for a year as we consistently have a back and forth Midwest banter. He truly has a servant heart and has been a huge part of all the things in my life the last 6 years.
Groomsman: Chris Szorc
The brother of the groom, a lot of life has been lived in each other’s presence. He is a firefighter in Springfield, IL and is married to Roxanne with a baby girl on the way. Reading, traveling, fitness, cooking for the department, and saving money are just a few of his interests. If not a firefighter, photography would have been just as lucrative as a career. One that puts others first, he is a model husband and soon to be father.
Groomsman: Conner Wittmer
Conner is Taylor’s little (big) brother and her best bud. He is the life of the party and the kindest soul all wrapped up into one. A journey to find his passion has led him to Missouri where he just completed his 2nd season coaching at the college level. Yes, ball is life for this family. His sarcastic nature keeps Taylor grounded. He is a connoisseur of Bourbon, great music, and golf. Bennie sure does love his Uncle Conner!!
Ring Bearers’: Bear Archer Morrison and Basher Alan Morrison
Bear and Basher are the sons of Matron of Honor Ella Marie and Bryce Morrison. The BAM’s are full of life and bring so much joy to their families and everyone around them. The BAM’s love mama’s milk, naps, people, music and dancing, Ms. Rachal the tv show, trains, and playing outside. These boys are so special to us and we are thrilled to have them as a part of our day!
Ring Bearer: Robert Daniel Lunsford Clayton “Ford” (Little Robert)
Ford is the son of Matron of Honor Bowdre and Jordan Clayton. Ford is a ball of sunshine and light. Some of Ford’s favorite things are running, chasing bubbles, little gym, dancing, music class, playing in the mud, loving on his big sis Pippa, eating all the fries, and seeing auntie Tay Tay. We are so thankful to have Ford man as a part of our special day!
